Sanjay trained at Kings College London Medical School and gained joint accreditation in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care through Wessex Deanery. He has worked at Spire and Southampton General since 2006 and anaesthetises patients for many complex surgical procedures. He also works regularly in intensive care to look after both post-surgical and medical patients. He has advanced the use of Enhanced Sedation as a technique for patients that would find any invasive procedure too unpleasant with either standard sedation or local anaesthetic alone, such as upper and lower GI endoscopy, ERCP, Interventional Radiology, joint injections etc.
Sanjay enjoys playing squash and ferrying his three boys between their cricket matches.
