Surgeon Neil Pearce Jumps for PLANETS wrapping up another fantastic day at Netheravon

It was another successful weekend at Netheravon for our PLANETS skydivers with surgeon and PLANETS founder Neil Pearce jumping on the last plane before sundown after a uncertain start to the day due to weather.  Organiser Tori Caine said ‘The weather wasn’t great to start with but we took advantage of breaks in the afternoon and got everyone up and it ended up being an amazing day!’  Tori, a regular skydiver, was inspired to organise this event after her Mum, Linda, was treated successfully for pancreatic cancer by the PLANETS medical team, in particular Neil Pearce.  Tori explained ‘working so closely with Mr Pearce all day meant his jump was quite emotional for me.  The admiration I have for him is just immense.  My family were there and we all feel the same.’

We would like to extend a big thank you to the lovely Tori for arranging what has been a fantastic event for PLANETS. The sponsorship total is over £11000 and the awareness that has been raised is also invaluable to the charity.

Amazingly, Tori has not been put off by all the hard work involved in organising an event and is already arranging something else for next year!  Her next big venture is an abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on 28th/29th June 2014.  The cost is £85.  For more information simply drop Tori an email.  We are requesting a £25 deposit ASAP, the balance will be due prior to the event.  We hope that many of you will join Tori at her next exciting event!
