In these unsettling and challenging times, there are some moments of sunshine and this was one of ours this week!

We are so grateful to Mr Morris and Mr Dobree-Carey from Talbot Heath School who are using their new technologies to make visors for frontline NHS staff to wear during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jo from PLANETS yesterday collected a supply of visors to deliver to Interventional Radiologist Brian Stedman. Dr Stedman commented that his team need ‘perfect vision to use micro wires and micro catheters and this has been a problem with recreated and fogged visors – we’re keen to try the new visors and compare and are really grateful to the guys at Talbot Heath that have been working so hard to help in the current COVID crisis.’

Talbot Heath Head, Mrs Holloway, has quoted “We have a history of stepping up in a crisis. Our pupils were nurses on the front line in the First World War, were land girls on local farms in the Second World War and now we are helping in the fight against this global pandemic, proud to be able to assist.”
