About the Event

Can’t join the road to Paris in person? For the first time ever, you, your friends and family can be part of this incredible fundraising event that will unite patients, clinicians, families, and supporters through the 24-hour London to Paris Challenge, now back for its 10th anniversary!

We’re inviting you to take on the same distance (320 km) – at your own pace, anywhere you like. Whether you’re cycling outdoors, in the gym, or on your home exercise bike, every mile brings you closer to Paris, and every sponsorship brings much-needed funds to cancer patients in our community.

You don’t have to do it alone either. Share the distance with a friend, family member, or group and complete the challenge together. Split the miles between you, ride side-by-side, or even get your local spin class involved, take on the distance as a team and raise awareness of PLANETS in your community while you pedal.

Your ride is more than just a challenge; it’s a show of strength and unity. For those who cannot be on the road due to treatment, recovery, or distance, this virtual version means everyone can take part in the journey from London to Paris.

How it works
The £20 entry fee includes:

• A downloadable mileage chart with milestones to tick off
• Access to official merchandise
• A downloadable certificate upon completion
• Raise over £100, and you’ll receive a free PLANETS Bandido
• Ride the London to Paris distance in your own location
• Complete it at your own pace within the challenge timeframe
• Track your miles and watch your progress
• Take part solo or share the distance with friends, colleagues, or your spin class

FAQs

How does the virtual challenge work?
We’re asking everyone who takes on the challenge to complete 320km (the distance from London to Paris) between 1st June and 5th July.

Do I need to complete the distance all in one go?
No. You can tackle the challenge in whatever way suits you best. Ride the full distance in one go, or split the miles across the month — it’s completely up to you.

Where does the event take place?
This is a virtual event running alongside our physical challenge, so you can decide where and when you complete your miles. Ride outdoors, hop on a stationary bike at home, cycle along the seafront, or take on the challenge at your local gym.

Do I need to fundraise?
While fundraising isn’t essential, this is a charity challenge aimed at raising money for PLANETS. We encourage participants to try and raise at least £100. After all, what’s all that effort for otherwise?
