A new partnership between PLANETS Cancer Charity and leading businesses across design, apparel and healthcare has resulted in the creation of a bespoke cycling jersey for the charity’s landmark London to Paris in 24 hours (LP24) challenge – inspired by a powerful patient story.
The collaboration brings together design agency Peagreen, cycling apparel brand Stolen Goat and global healthcare company Boston Scientific, each playing a key role in delivering the project.
The jersey was designed by Peagreen, with creative inspiration drawn from Jane Clouting, a PLANETS-supported patient who took part in the charity’s Dawn to Dusk cycling challenge in 2024.
Her story helped shape a design that reflects resilience, strength and the shared spirit of the PLANETS community.
The design was then brought to life by Stolen Goat, who have produced the official LP24 jersey and are supporting PLANETS with the development of a new webshop and future merchandise range.
Boston Scientific has supported the initiative through sponsorship of the jerseys, further strengthening the collaboration between healthcare innovation and patient-focused charitable work.
Together, the partnership highlights a new and creative approach to collaboration between charities and businesses – combining expertise in design, manufacturing and healthcare to deliver something meaningful for patients and supporters.
Jo Green, director of operations and marketing at PLANETS, said: “This partnership is a brilliant example of what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose.
“From the initial inspiration through to the final product, this has been a truly collaborative effort that reflects the heart of PLANETS, which is putting patients at the centre of everything we do.”
Izzy Matthews, founder of Peagreen, added: “This project started with a very special patient story and it’s been a privilege to translate that into a design that will be worn by so many incredible participants taking on LP24. It’s a reminder of the power of design to tell stories and create connections.”
The jersey will be worn by participants in the LP24 10-year anniversary ride, taking place from 3 to 5 July 2026, as riders take on the 320km journey from London to Paris in just 24 hours.
Andy Gorman, managing director of Stolen Goat, said: “We’re incredibly proud to support PLANETS with this project. Bringing the jersey to life and helping develop a longer-term merchandise offering is about more than just kit – it is about being part of a community and supporting a cause that makes a real difference. Seeing the story behind the design and the people who will wear it makes this partnership especially meaningful for us.”
Beyond the event itself, the collaboration signals a longer-term vision for PLANETS – developing meaningful partnerships that create impact for patients while offering businesses new ways to engage with charitable work.
